Set Assist ("the App") is operated by Greyed Out LTD ("we", "us", "our"), based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. This information is used for authentication and to personalize your experience.
When you use the invoicing features, you may enter business information such as your company name, address, phone number, and tax registration number. This information is stored securely and used only to generate your invoices.
When you use the shoot calendar and finance features, your job data, expenses, and mileage records are stored to provide the app's functionality.
If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to send you relevant notifications.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database service with enterprise-grade security including row-level security (RLS), encrypted connections, and SOC 2 Type II compliance. Your data is only accessible to you and is not shared with third parties.
Some data is also cached locally on your device using your browser's localStorage for offline access. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted elsewhere.
We use your data solely to provide the App's functionality: calculating billable hours, generating invoices, tracking finances, and managing your shoot calendar. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
When you use the in-app invoice email feature, emails are sent through Resend (our email service provider) on your behalf. The recipient's email address is used only to deliver the invoice. We do not store recipient email addresses beyond what you save in your contacts.
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing: https://stripe.com/privacy
The App uses the following third-party services:
Supabase — database and authentication (https://supabase.com/privacy). Stripe — payment processing (https://stripe.com/privacy). Resend — email delivery (https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy). Open-Meteo — weather data (free, no API key, no personal data sent).
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time directly within the app: open the More tab, tap Account, scroll to the Danger Zone section, and tap Delete Account. Account deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, financial records, invoices, calendar data, kit inventory, and all other personal data are removed from our servers at the moment you confirm the deletion. This action cannot be undone.
Before deleting, you can use the Download My Data feature to export a JSON file of your records for tax and accounting purposes.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Account deletion and data export are both available directly in the app (Account → Delete Account, or Account → Download My Data). You may also contact us at the email below for any questions or requests.
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
